How to Make Dal makhni recipe at Home

A cup of urad dal
Half a teaspoon turmeric
Half a teaspoon red chilli powder
Three to four tablespoons cream
Half cup milk
Two tomatoes

Two to three cloves
A pinch of asafoetida
Half teaspoon cumin seeds
One spoonful of fenugreek leaves
Kashmiri red chili powder ½ teaspoon
3 to 4 pinch garam masala powder
One teaspoon Coriander Powder
½ teaspoon mango powder
Salt to taste
2 to 3 tablespoons butter (butter)
Finely chopped coriander
3 to 4 tablespoons oil
For decoration
One tablespoon cream one tablespoon finely chopped coriander leaves one tablespoon butter
Makeing Method
How To make Dal Makhani, firstly clean urad dal and rajma and soak it in water for the night.
- In the morning when urad dal and rajma swell, wash them thoroughly with water, add 3 to 4 cups of turmeric, red chili powder, milk and salt in a cooker, mix it well and close the pressure cooker and keep it on the gas, then Allow the lentils to cook until 5 to 6 whistles come in the cooker.
After the pressure of the cooker is over, stir the dal well with a big spoon, so that both the pulses mix well.
Now heat the oil in a pan to add tempering to the lentils. When the oil is well heated, add cloves, asafoetida and cumin seeds in the oil and fry them.
After frying cumin, add garlic ginger paste and fry it, add ground onion and chopped green chilies and fry it well.
Now add tomato puree and cook for about 4 to 5 minutes, then add Kashmiri red chilli powder, mango powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and cream and stir it well.
Now add the cooked lentils in the tempering and mix well and if you are feeling thick, then you can add water to it.
Allow the lentils to boil for about 3 to 4 minutes, then turn off the gas and add butter, kasoori methi to it. Punjabi Dal Makhani is ready, now serve hot and hot Dal Makhani with roti, naan, parantha and rice.
