100 grams Mawa (Khoya) 1 tablespoon flour 1/4 teaspoon baking soda Ghee

Method to make Gulab Jamun-

In a vessel, mash the mawa (khoya) well with your hands. There should be no lumps in the mawa. Now add baking soda and flour to the dough and knead it, it should neither be too hard nor too soft. Keep in mind that mawa-maida should not remain dry. If it is feeling dry, then wet the palms with water and knead it again. When the mixture of mawa-maida is ready by kneading well, then divide it into equal small balls. Now heat ghee in a pan on the gas. Put a piece of bread in it and fry it. When the bread comes up in the ghee, then lower the flame and fry the gulab jamun balls in the ghee till it becomes golden brown. When the ghee starts to cool down, before putting the balls in the pan, heat the ghee by increasing the flame and then slow down the gas and bake the gulab jamuns. Bake them and keep them in a plate.

Method of making syrup-

For sugar syrup, put sugar and water in a vessel and keep it on low flame on the gas and keep stirring it with the help of a big spoon till the sugar dissolves. When the sugar dissolves, increase the flame and boil the syrup. Now adding milk to the syrup, let it boil on high flame only. Cook the syrup till it thickens a bit. Take sugar syrup in a spoon and try sticking it with your finger. If a wire starts to form, then switch off the gas. 

Otherwise cook a little more and check again. After this, filter the syrup through a sieve, put it on the gas again, and add ground cardamom to it and cook for one more minute. Switch off the gas and put gulab jamun in this prepared syrup. In half an hour the gulab jamuns will absorb the syrup well. Prepare delicious gulab jamuns, keep them in bowls and eat and feed.
